in theater view it would be nice to navigate in listviews by typing a letter on the keyboard to jump to the artist/album beginning with the letter. I have about 50.000 songs in the library and I need a long time to go to artists beginning with an "m" or only "b". Is there a possybility to configure such a feature? Or is it planed to integrate it?
-
Agree this would be super. I believe to remember it has been requested before, though. Maybe the guys at JRiver figure this will be hard to implement :-\ ::)

Have you tried adding view schemes for Artist grouped
as A to D, E to G and ect. ?
-
Sorry my first posting wasn't exact enough . :-[ I like to use such a function in theater view. I havn't tried it. I'm new in using MC. I can't find a way to define a view scheme in theater View. Is there a possibility to do it in theater view?

Hi
The letter on the keyboard --- no such thing
but try this,
Dont know if this is what your looking for
but I use it to find things fast.
In std. view: left plane\media library
rt clk on audio\add view scheme
next window: clk add, std view item\clk drop down arrow\select album artist auto\check grouping size\select grouping size( try 4)\clk ok
Then clk add again std view item and select artist (no grouping) clk ok
youre done
goto Theater mode and it should be there.
Play with it till you get what you want

thanx I will try it. I tell you if it works after I tried it
-
i tried it and it is a good help but not exacly what I wanted. Its difficult for me to explain it in english because it is not my prefered language. I missing in function thats typical in the way Windows will handle lists. If you typ a letter in a Listbox the cursor will jump to the first position in the list starting withe the typed letter. This will be a good help for people only using the keyboard.

I'd like to bump this request, while I know you can group Artists, Albums, etc. It would be much much easier to just start typing as I've got a very large collection of albums and the Media Center Wireless Keyboard which works with J River Media Center (WooHoo!).
