Title: How do I refer to a playlist directly using girder?
Post by: kaiynne on May 18, 2005, 04:02:04 pm
I am just starting to setup girder with a USB-UIRT and I am trying to work out how to specify a playlist using the sendmessage command.  Is this possible?  If not how do I play a specific playlist using girder?

Thanks
Kain

By command line switches. At least it works for library views, but I have never tried it for play lists. This is not corrected for the latest change in mjextman, though:

File: c:\windows\system32\mjextman.exe
Step Size: /PlayReplace "TREEPATH=Media Library\View\PlayListName|zone=0"

Probably with play lists it will be:

File: c:\windows\system32\mjextman.exe
Step Size: /PlayReplace "TREEPATH=Playlists\PlayListName|zone=0"

I tried every combination I could think of with the string
/PlayReplace "TREEPATH=Media Library\View\PlayListName|zone=0"
I couldn't get any response though.  I have a feeling from various things I have read on the board that some changes have been made to the whole system of command line refs and what not, but they don't seem to be documented at the moment.  If anyone has any info I would love to check it out.  Thanks again mastiff

I use Girder to control my full album playlists, but I have them as views...

But did you try:

/PlayReplace "TREEPATH=Media Library\Playlists\PlayListName|zone=0"

or

/PlayReplace "TREEPATH=Playlists\PlayListName|zone=0"

OK I read some more threads and it works now that i made the change from mjextman to mc launcher.  Now MC doesn't seem to respond to the remote though.  When I hit F5 the test command works but if i push the assigned button on the remote it doesn't respond.  I am going crazy here seriously.  But it is fun I will admit that.

Hang on a bit. They're putting out a new build with changes to the launcher.
