Title: Why can't I delete?
Post by: Mastiff on May 22, 2005, 03:30:17 am
A small source of irritation on this board is that I can't delete my own messages. Why?

I think how it works is that replies can be deleted, but the thread itself cannot be removed, at least by mere mortals.  So if you start a thread, but then change your mind, then you are simply out of luck. :P

I think it is good the way it is now. The author can always write something like this: "Sorry, I started this accidentally. Mods, feel free to remove this" and lock the thread. I would not like to see threads appearing and disappearing all the time.
