Ive just had to rip and burn a few cd's recently. Here is what I found.
1: When you are ready to rip and click rip, the screen changes and adds a status column, this is built line by line and is very slow.
2: Switching back to MC when it is ripping or just waiting to burn re draws line by line and is very slow
3: Burning doesn't work, I get the folloiwng error message in the Win Crash Window: Appname: mediac~1.exe AppVer 11.0.274.0 ModName cdwriter.ocx ModVer 1.0.0.117 Offset 0006eb1b
I've killed a few cd's testing.

Dropping down to 272 does the same thing.

Ok, My post was split..... Is this a problem on my end, or is this a known problem?
You wouldn't believe the problems, first MC, then my other fav player doesn't burn cd's..... However MMJB seems to burn fine.... Well at least it's not my burner... ;D 8)

That's what we're trying to figure out. Anyone else see this problem?

No problems with ripping, but I got the same error message when tried to burn a data CD (in test mode). I must try to find some CD-RW discs if more testing is needed. (... and some time for doing it.)
My message showed the long application name:

CD burning is fixed for the next build. It was a dumb housekeeping error on my part that affected the last couple of builds.
As far as the slow display of the status column in ripping, I can't reproduce that. Does anyone else see this problem?

On my system it's evident that each line is being drawn. However, I wouldn't call it "slow," just "slower." It might be dependent on the CPU and GPU.

John,
I've noticed that I can only burn 1 CD. After that, if I insert a blank CD, MC locks up and the LED on the front of the CD-R drive sits blinking. Once I eject the blank, MC goes back to normal. Is this part of the fix that will be in the next build?

It's surprising that you could even burn one CD with the last couple of builds. I would assume that the same bug also caused the problem you describe, please try the next build and let us know.

Roger that. Will test again with the new build.
