Title: MC11: Reboot after new install
Post by: coolblue on May 26, 2005, 05:35:58 am
The last 3 builds have required that I reboot. Was this to have been expected?

I didn't have to reboot after the last 3 builds' installs. Do you have any special config or procedure that would be considered out of the ordinary?

I just select the Express Install option each time...

I also have had to reboot each time. I go the custom route and don't really have anything else special running that hasn't been running in the past.

Do you guys by any chance have NetRemote Media Bridge running? There's a bug of the two latest versions where it keeps the Media Center process alive, so a reboot is needed. I have put it up as a bug report at the Promixis board, I'm sure Ben will take care of it quick.

No I do not have that running. I also made sure that I do not have any plug-ins running.

I use custom install, but don't make any changes except on the last screen where I say I *don't* want a desktop icon or start menu items (have a quick launch icon is plenty). I don't use NetRemote Media Bridge, nor do I run MC Server.
