Title: MC10: how to erase a CD-RW?
Post by: Piranhahaha on May 30, 2005, 01:19:16 am
I've clicked the "erase CD-RW" subchecklist, but it doesn't appear to work.

When I try to burn a track, my drive whirs away with the computer working hard as I get 10 minutes of "Initializing writer" at the bottom of the screen, then 15 minutes of "Loading view" at the bottom of the screen, then as soon as I click on the file to drag to the "drop files here" box, it starts whirring away for another 10 minutes, and then states "No writable disk."

This is getting really old, and I know it's worked in the past.

What am I doing wrong?

Your Using CD-R\W disks

There comes a time when CD-R\W Disks will no longer work depending on how many times you have used them.

this may not be your problem, but CD-R\W disks are not worth the hastle.
