Hello,
when I want to find a song/artist and (after Ctrl-F) put the variables in, very often I get the Beatles as a hit for that search.
I found out that's because these basic searches look in the Bios text too.
I don't want that and, in my opinion, that never used to be the case.
So:
- is this a choice of MC?
- if yes: how can I EASILY work around that?
- if yes: could the Bios be excluded again from the search?
- if no: please repair
Thanks!
Using MC 11.0.262

Uncheck "Default Search Field" Under "Configure Library Field"
See if that helps
-
Thanks King, but where do I find this "Configure Library Field"?
Tools - Options not, if I see it right.
-
Tools, Options, Library, Select Bios, Edit
-
Oops, got it.
But... it IS already unchecked
-
Guess that will not help then...
Not sure what that check box does then
-
Thanks anyway, King.
Leaves my question:

I just tested this and it works fine for me...
Press cntrl F and typed in "it was a reaction" (This was part of a song's Bios) and I got no hits,
Maybe try reinstalling??
-
No, didn't do the trick.
It must be a feature somewhere.
Jim? Matt?

The problem described above is so annoying. Hasn't anyone got a solution for me?
-
Marko, you're great!
Thanks to you I checked all the fields whether they were default search fields or not and unchecking one of them did the trick.
Thanks again.
