Title: EXIF Orientation during image playback
Post by: alexgit on June 05, 2005, 12:29:46 am
Hello,
Is there any chance to display images with correct orientation according to EXIF?
If you take image while holding camera vertically, many cameras would put flag in image data to indicate orientation.
It's pretty unpleasant to see image turned to the side while watching slide show, so I think it would be nice if MC took care of it (as many other programs do) and display it correctly. Probably it's not very huge programming effort.

Best regards,
Alex

Yeah I'd really appreciate this also now that I've started using MC11 for my photo organisation.

Or a compromise: At least reset the the EXIF orientation properly if I rotate the image from inside MC.

Just wondering if there is anything in works.
Or may be some obscure option in preferences?

Hi, sorry I was out of the loop for a while.
So is this thing going to get done? In 11.1.104 apparently it is not done yet.
Thanks
Alex
