Title: What Preparation Is Needed Before Upgrading to MC?

I've checked the FAQ and using the "search" feature for the forum left me frustrated.  I hate to bother because I'm sure this has probably been asked before.

I'd like to upgrade to MC from MJ 8.0.399.  I've done a backup of my library.  Relying on the experience of others who've gone before me, what else should I do to protect my existing files/playlists/cover art, etc. in case I need to return to MJ?  Are there any other concerns/steps I should know about before converting?

Just download and install MC.
