Title: RadioNova stream not working in MC, but does in other players?

I usually have no problem with streams in MC, but the Radio Nova stream
from Paris has all pops, crackles and skips when listening in MC11 and MC10.
However its not occuring in Winamp 5 nor WMP 10.  Is there a reason for this
or generally some some bug in the decompression process.

Strange thats its this one stream, but its one of the most popular FM
radio stations in France.

Try switching your playback in options between wave out and direct sound.

It works for me with wave out and MC11 last build.

Sure it works, but i can hear this "gulping" sound where bits
are missing.

Regardsless of me using directsound, wave out, or Asio on
either my Pulsar or soundblaster cards I get problems with this
stream.  But the other 20 or so streams I have saved
have no problems.

You can hear the stream, but every 2 or 3 seconds there is
a gulping skipped sound.

You are right Bluey with directsound and wave out there is the "gulping" sound.
I have no sound what so ever with ASIO.

Try also the playback buffer size.

I posted about the same problem on another stream here: http://yabb.jriver.com/interact/index.php?topic=28222.0  with no responses.

I tried the Radio Nova stream and it does the same thing.

Tried ASIO and WAV out with the same results.

Also tried various buffer settings from min to max with no differences noticed.

Looks like there are at least two streams that show this issue with MC.

I really hope all of this streaming problem can be ironed out before MC 11 is released or right after MC 11 is released.

Is this problem going to be resolved ?

Its pretty fundemental, a jukebox player that has problems playing
MP3 streams.

No.  Streaming is a really complicated problem and not all of the errors are MC's.

We will take a close look at streaming in a future version.

Please do.  It would be really great if you guys would give this area some much needed attention soon. The way it is now, I use Winamp for my streaming audio needs.
