1. Fixed: Radio on MP101 would not play if Artist was empty.

I tried with and without artist empty. I am getting further than with the previous version of the nPnP server, but not far enough.
This is what happens:

06/16/05 22:49:44 - JRiver UPnP Server Version 1.0.32 starting...
06/16/05 22:49:45 - Server running on address 192.168.1.89, port 3778
06/16/05 22:49:45 - Running
06/16/05 22:51:06 - Received request for device description
06/16/05 22:51:06 - Browse BrowseDirectChildren 0()
06/16/05 22:51:09 - Browse BrowseDirectChildren 0()
06/16/05 22:51:10 - Browse BrowseDirectChildren 4(Playlists)
06/16/05 22:51:20 - Browse BrowseDirectChildren 11(Playlists\Radio 2)
06/16/05 22:51:21 - Browse BrowseDirectChildren 11(Playlists\Radio 2)
06/16/05 22:51:21 - Sharing (without conversion): http://livemedia.omroep.nl/radio2-smal
06/16/05 22:51:21 - Received request for file: http://livemedia.omroep.nl/radio2-smal
06/16/05 22:51:38 - Browse BrowseDirectChildren 11(Playlists\Radio 2)

After 5-8 seconds the MP101 screen show following message:
"Unable to play song"

I tried another Station: Wolf FM and that works

Here is the log of the server:

06/16/05 23:04:35 - JRiver UPnP Server Version 1.0.32 starting...
06/16/05 23:04:36 - Server running on address 192.168.1.89, port 4016
06/16/05 23:04:36 - Running
06/16/05 23:05:24 - Received request for device description
06/16/05 23:05:24 - Browse BrowseDirectChildren 0()
06/16/05 23:05:26 - Browse BrowseDirectChildren 0()
06/16/05 23:05:29 - Browse BrowseDirectChildren 4(Playlists)
06/16/05 23:05:35 - Browse BrowseDirectChildren 12(Playlists\Radio Test)
06/16/05 23:05:41 - Browse BrowseDirectChildren 12(Playlists\Radio Test)
06/16/05 23:05:41 - Sharing (without conversion): http://205.188.234.69:8000
06/16/05 23:05:41 - Received request for file: http://205.188.234.69:8000
06/16/05 23:06:04 - Browse BrowseDirectChildren 12(Playlists\Radio Test)

The only difference I can see now is that the adres of the first is AlphaNumeric and the second (wich works) is numeric.

I tried yet another one.

Here is the log:
06/16/05 23:15:22 - Received request for device description
06/16/05 23:15:22 - Browse BrowseDirectChildren 0()
06/16/05 23:15:25 - Browse BrowseDirectChildren 0()
06/16/05 23:15:26 - Browse BrowseDirectChildren 4(Playlists)
06/16/05 23:15:30 - Browse BrowseDirectChildren 14(Playlists\Radio)
06/16/05 23:15:34 - Browse BrowseDirectChildren 14(Playlists\Radio)
06/16/05 23:15:34 - Sharing (without conversion): mms://media.radio538.nl/radio538
06/16/05 23:15:34 - Error sharing file, file not found

MP101 show message "File not found"

All three stations play MC as a breeze.

 ? I going to sleep ....

Maybe the filenames indicate a difference:

http://livemedia.omroep.nl/radio2-smal
http://205.188.234.69:8000/~~~stream~~~.mp3
mms://media.radio538.nl/radio538

Only the second one works on the MP101.
All works in MC.

You need to select "Convert if neccesary" in the UPnP Options. The MMS stream works for me after that. I can't get the livemedia to work here, but try with conversion too.

Ok, here are the results of the re-test (with 'convert of necessary' active):

http://livemedia.omroep.nl/radio2-smal
Does not work. In MC this stream shows a Video icon in stead of a Music icon???

http://205.188.234.69:8000/~~~stream~~~.mp3
Works as it worked before.

mms://media.radio538.nl/radio538
Works better, but stops after a random time. Max 3 minutes.
Here is an example of 30 seconds:
06/17/05 08:28:29 - Browse BrowseDirectChildren 44(Playlists\Radio\538)
06/17/05 08:28:33 - Browse BrowseDirectChildren 44(Playlists\Radio\538)
06/17/05 08:28:33 - Sharing (with conversion): mms://media.radio538.nl/radio538
06/17/05 08:28:34 - Received request for file: mms://media.radio538.nl/radio538
06/17/05 08:29:04 - Browse BrowseDirectChildren 44(Playlists\Radio\538)
The last line spontaneously comes up wiyhout any user interaction. The MP101 stops playing. If I press play it starts again.

Hope this helps in your analysis ....

Peter
