Does the King Spart plugin, The Master, allow you to change multiple fields generally:
The Beatles
The Kinks
The Wailers
The Doors
to:
Beatles, The
Kinks, The
Wailers, The
Doors, The
I tried this plugin once but can't remember; I am at work right now and I'll forget about this if I don't post :)

Tools / Library Tools / Clean File Properties does, or claims to, using that very example.

The only thing MC will stall on is a band called The The

Listening to "Uncertain Smile" by The The.

yes
it will also move anything you want in the recent version
for: "The Adventures Of Superman"
like you can change "The" to "The Adventures Of"
and the result would be
Superman, The Adventures Of
so anything you type in is moved if it matches
you can select 3 of the major fields, (i did not see a need for more)

Okay, just want to verify my need:
To change multiple artists all at once.
Can I define any artist field that has The XXXX to become XXXXX, The
or do I have to do it one artist at a time?
thanks!

you can batch it
there are many options, they are listed
the one you want is avail.
MC11 in clean will do that also
win i orginaly made the plug-in you could not do that in MC

The The... Brings back memories of an old 12" single cover from my DJ days, a track called "Infected". The cover was a certain figure with horns and a tail doing something that will make hair grow inside your hands [etc. etc. etc.] ;D

Another question:
I want to replace the word "and" with "&".
MC Find & Replace replaces any instance of those three characters in that sequence w/ & resulting in:
The B&
or
The &y Williams Quartet
Will MC's Clean File Properties or The Master only exchange the word "and" and not any instance of the letters?

How can I change the word "and" to & without changing all occurences of the three letters in names, albums, artists etc.
I just want to change the word "and" between artists and albums.

Is the "The Master" plug-in no longer being offered? I'm not seeing it on the SpartaSoft site... Am I overlooking it?
I loved that plug-in....
I mean, it's nice that MC now allows you to move "The" when you're cleaning the file properties, but it's a very limited option ... The SpartaSoft "The Master" was 1,000 times better.
For instance, I typically don't move the "The" ("The Beatles" to "Beatles, The") ... Instead I delete the beginning "The" (so I end up with just "Beatles"), which the King Sparta "The Master" could do.... Plus the "The Master" plug-in could do some other very nifty things (including moving the "the" back to the front of the artist and/or album name or adding a "the" from scratch, etc.) ....
It was such a fast, perfect little plug-in, and seemed to still be working well with the newest MC builds (at least, I have a version of the The Master labeled 0.0.04 that's working with MC 11.1; seems like I had other versions working with 11.1 as well, but I'm not 100% positive).
Any chance of making it available again for download by the masses? :) 8)
UPDATE: Okay, wait, I actually do see that a Beta version of the The Master is still listed as being available on the acessories.jrmediacenter.com Interface Plug-ins page.... But, oh, never mind... the link goes back to SpartaSoft, where the The Master is not to be found ( ? )
