Hello, I think my Ipod may be pooched.....
When transfering tracks I get a few hundred then I get a message saying
Attempting to copy to the disk "IPOD" failed unknown error occured (-36)
Just wondering if anybody else has seen this error...
This is not a MC error... I am trying to get this working in ITunes before I try it with MC.
I have done some searching, but have not really found anything....
Any ideas?

Type -36 error (I/O Errors (bummers)
This file is having difficulty while either reading from the drive or writing to the drive. The file
may have been improperly written data to the drive or the hard drive or disk may be damaged.
This is almost always indicative of a media error (hard error on the disk). Sometimes (rarely) it is transient.

I think you may be right. Does the hdd sound strange? Have you tried to flash it?
Either way, it sucks! Didn’t you just get it?

Yep I just got it..... About 15 days or so ago...
Is doesn't sound strange at all.... Re flashed it a few times.... I can load 30 gig to it, I just have to re start the transfer about 6 or 7 times....
I guess I'll try and get a exchange..... Oh well.
Thanks

Nope.... Being less then 3 weeks old, I'm just gonna get a RMA and get a new one..... I tried the suggestions, but it's a no go.
Oh well, that's what a warranty is for ... ;D
