Title: Duplicate files deletion possible?
Post by: patricius on June 18, 2005, 11:57:35 pm
Hi there, this is my first post. I would be grateful if someone could help me.
I´ve got several files spread over my disk on several folders. I cut and paste all of them
into a single folder. After updating the files on MC I become with several "empty" files duplicates.

1:How can they be deleted (preferably all at once)?

2:Does MC, when updating, compare equal files and excludes them?

Regards.

check the help file for smartlist

Duplicates

~dup= or ~nodup=

~dup=[name],[artist] only keeps files in a list when at least one other file has the same name and artist in the list. You can add as many fields as you like (e.g., duration, album, etc).

~nodup=[name],[artist] keeps one copy of files that have duplicates.

I think the last line should end....."that do not have duplicates"?
