Title: Media Player with network controls
Post by: BMTSTUFF on June 22, 2005, 01:55:57 pm
i would like to park a computer next to my stereo, play mp3's,
and control the player (see the playlists) from any network computer.  Volume control would be great. Will Media Jukebox
do this?? will any thing????

One solution is to park a UPnP Player (like the NetGear MP101 or Philips Streamium) next to your stereo, and control that from a PC.

It doesn't have volume control, and the control is from the player's remote control, but it is close to what you want.

Remote Server will do what you want, but it only works with Media Center, not Media Jukebox.

It gives a basic web interface to Media Center, so you can control it from other computers. NetRemote is
a cool interface to this that runs on PDAs I think.

You'll get more info on this in the Media Center forum...
