Well, I'm about to buy an Ipod Mini and wanna know about those issue as iam considered new to Ipod devices and never used them before.
1- Whats make it different than other players? (whats so special about it?)
2-does it support gapless playback ?
3-Is it fully compatible with MC ?
4-What about its quality ?
5 What about its internal software ?
I appreciate any help, Thanks.

1- Nice colours.... Lots of 3rd party add-ons ( from the likes of Griffin, Belkin etc ). Easy interface.
2- No. Unless you rip a whole CD to a single file.
3- So far.
4- The last generation iPods are really quite good from the audio reproduction perspective.
5- There's a utility on the apple site that updates the iPod software. Glitches and crashes are more likely to come from corrupted audio files. A re-build of the iPod index ( a feature that you can do from within MC ) usually cures the problem.
Overall, a good user experience. Remember NOT to install iTunes - unless you know all about the ways in which Apple's copy protection needs to be configured to work with MC ( I don't... ).

So i can see that the gapless thing is a firmware related... if so then why doesnt apple add it to the firmware of ipod ?
