- I have a primary MC Libary that contains my master music collection.
-I recently created another temporary libary into which I imported additional music.
- After retagging and re-organizing the tracks in this temporary library, I would like to move/copy SOME of them into my master libary...e.g. i want to move the Acid Jazz genre folder or the Miles Davis artist folder.
- Is there a way to do this directly from library to library, or do I have to import each and every folder manually into my main libary using "Import Media"??
Thanks,
Lee

Interesting Idea, But I Don't Think There Is A Way To Do That
-
Yeah....I've got 70 odd GB in my master and I want to sift through, tag....another 70GB, pulling out only the stuff that I want from it, and leaving the other stuff in the temporary library. Guess I will have to do it manually....

Couldn't you save the selected files off as an m3u playlist, and then import the list into the master library?
-
hmmm....that sounds easy. I've never imported using playlists. when you import a playlist, does it import every track in the playlist into the library as if you had imported the tracks themselves, or does it add the playlist itself to library?

I say try it and report back.

Using the temporary library, select the files you want to move, use move/copy to move them (to one folder if you like), then switch to the other library and import them. Use Library Tools/Rename files from properties to move the files into album or genre based folders.
Experiment with a few before you do many.

Ah hah! That makes sense, thanks!
