When I have "Option > Tree & View > Sort by track # for single albums" enabled, MC should sort albums by "Disc #" then "Track #" for single albums.
If I use the "Disc #" field the album is flagged as an incomplete album
If I click the "Disc #" column to sort and there are some empty fields, MC does not sort them correctly
-
After closing MC, I see that it is still active in task manager.
I do not use any servers that may run in the background.
The app running is media center.exe
-
GHammer,
Does this happen every time you run MC or just once after you installed the new build (when the InstallWizard opened MC) ?

Seems to be every time.
There has been a reboot in there as well.
It does not prevent MC from being run again though.

MC install is hanging for me with this build.
-
This installation hangs for me too. And a straghtforward downgrade was not possible; to get a MC working again I had to uninstall it including removal of registry keys (keeping the library files, though), restart the computer and install an earlier version (302).
Not sure that the restart was necessary, but an uninstall keeping the registry keys and then installing the 302 directly didn't work.
-
when i restart mc and click the play button in the playbar plays all library instead of where i did stop on the last playing now before restarting MC
-
Two things:
1) I tried to import songs from my iTunes directory. There was one new album. Imports from other directories came into MC, but no the one from iTunes.
** Never mind -- I figured out that this was because MC closed one time and got set to "Not import other types of files" or some such thing.**
2) I tried to manually import from this directory (Opened Drives & devices, went to directory) -- I was ripping a CD at the same time -- when I selected the album directory, MC said "gathering info". Then, after a few seconds, MC just closed/disappeared. (However if I bring up the Windows Task Manager, the process media center.exe is still running).
3) I kept having trouble and tried to follow the instructions that came up which mentioned uninstalling and reinstalling MC. But I cannot uninstall it. Whenever I try, it gets about 1/4 of the way and then goes "Not Responding". When I kill it (it never responds, even after hours of waiting), I get a message: "You chose to end the nonresponsive program, Run a DLL as an App." I tried to just reinstall, which seemed to mostly work, but I still have problems and when I try again to uninstall, I get the same message.
-
Something's happened from build 303 and on. If I let NetRemote Media Bridge start MC (like it does by default, if MC isn't already running), and then close it (which closes MC), MC will throw the good ole' "Media Center had to close..." (in norwegian, so sorry if the english wording isn't correct). But MC will not pop up the "Incomplete shutdown detected", like it does if I just kill the process. It is not there on version 302 and down, but 303 and up has it 100 % reliably.
This doesn't happen if I start MC first and then Media Bridge, because in that case closing MB doesn't close MC.
Also starting a playlist from Girder (by the regular MC11.exe command line stuff) pops the "MC had to close" window, but if I click it, the music keeps on playing, and MC doesn't close.
-
When I "Analyze Audio" MC crashes at the end of analyzing the 1st file...and i get the following message sometimes...
Media center.exe - application error
The instruction at "0x7c168f1d" referenced memory

MC seems to not be able to render .jpg files over 10 MB or so. Windows Explorer and other prorams such as Picassa can so I'm pretty sure the file are valid, but when I load them into MC there is no thumbnail and when trying to "play" it, it just skips over the file.
If I reduce the size of the scan to under 10 MB, then all is well.
Michel.

This is an issue in v.301, but I haven't seen any posts regarding it so I'm doing so now, on the theory that it's still there.
"Playing now" seems to have reacquired the heavy CPU-usage and related issues of ~.280 versions. Specifically:
--Scary fast scrolling when dragging and dropping tracks is back.
--Audio playback can be affected by scrolling and/or dragging and dropping tracks. Issues are stuttering playback and extended holds (.2-.5 secs).
-
i can confirm this all
same for me >:( stuttering , CPU-usage very high !

Bug: When changing a Genre tag, the Genre collumn is not updated until you hit another branch of the tree and then re-select the "audio" branch.
I changed a few items from "unassigned" to "audiobook," completely eliminating the need for the "unassigned" genre. The Genre collumn, however, continued to have "unassigned" listed, showing the current selection as "unassigned" still, and the "audiobook" genre did not appear in the list. Highlighting another genre and going back to "unassigned" showed "no files" in the song window, but I was still able to select "unassigned" even though NOTHING on in the library used this genre anymore.
Once I selected another branch of the tree and then re-selected "audio," "Audiobook" finally appeared in the Genre lest, and everything dispalyed correctly.

autoupdate goes with me with none columns, only through f5 will press updated.

Forgive me, but I'm honestly not sure what you're saying here. Thanks for any clarification.
The bottom line is that with MC10, the same changes are immediately reflected in the collumns, which update as you make changes.

I have the problem on case of each with category, genre, albumArtist , artist

Audible support in MC11 is quite buggy compared to MC10, where it still works quite well with the same material.
1) When jumping to a different point in a title, there is a several second delay before the new location starts playing. The previous section continues to play during this time, and sometimes it will jump to another section of the title before it jumps to the "actual" point you placed the timeline indicator. In MC10, the same track does not have this problem -- when you jump to a new point in the timeline, it immediately starts playing at this new location.
Note that I'm using the same playback settings that I use with MC10 (i.e. "gapless" and "immediate.") Mp3's behave normally when jumping to different sections of the tracks.
2) When returning to a track that that you preiously stopped listenning to at some point (i.e. when you utilize the bookmark capability of the aa file), you hear several seconds from the beginning of the title before the audio jumps to the bookmarked spot. It does this each time you return to the title. With MC10, the title immediately starts playing for the point you left off when you return to it.
3) When jumping to later points in certain tracks, some aa files simply stop playing. I can't seem to find a pattern to why/when this happens, but this NEVER happens with MC10 (which I've been using with the same aa files for a couple years now.
I use MC for audible files quite a bit, so this is a big deal for me.

Playback list will halt when a 48000Hz MP3 is encountered. This track will play if forced, but playback will halt again when 44100Hz MP3 is encountered ... and then continue to play until another 48kHz MP3 is queued ... and so on ...
I believe this behaviour began somewhere around release 290. Considering how few 48kHz MP3 files I have and when I moved from MC10, this may have existed with MC11 ... but it did not exist with MC10.
