Please Help:
HDrive crashed, now attempting to restore music. Restored 60% from my ipod, but the rest will have to be re-ripped from CD... but there is no easy way to see what needs to be re-ripped in MC.
1. Is there any way search for "file not found" or sort by "file not found"?
I need to display all the songs that are "file not found" in my library so that i can re-rip those from CD.
2. Is there a way to export, or print out, the list of songs with "fle not found" so i could wrk off an external hard copy?
3. Does anyone know a cheap data recovery service (none are 'cheap' but the quote i got was over $1000 for a 120gb hd)?
Thanks for help in trying to recover from my crisis.

1. http://yabb.jriver.com/interact/index.php?topic=24760.0
2. Make a playlist of the search results. Customize your view for that playlist and print the list or select the files and copy paste to Excel for organizing and printing.

Great tip! I'm in your debt. One more question:
Some of my songs restored from my ipod were given different album names/and the album name was changed in the actual file name (ipod renames every file to a number, so when you restore it renames them back, but for blank album names it put them in a folder named "no album info" (where in MC the album is blank, and MC is looking for them in a folder named "unknown album") and it made the album in the file name "no album info" e.g. "David Bowie - No album info - 01 - Ziggy Stardust.mp3" (where in MC there are "David Bowie - Unknown album - 01 - Ziggy Stardust.mp3"
So... my question(s) are:
1. Any suggestions on how to reconnect these files to the listings in MC
2. Is there a way in MC to say, these are now locatd in this new folder with this new name (easily since were talking about 1000 files with this problem!)
3. Is there a program outside of MC to do find and replaces for folder names and file names (perhaps I could just change the names of the actual files)
Thanks,l
Bob
