Is it possible to add a new right click menu option that can access other programs API's?

I have a feeling it is not but it really should be an option for developers.  MC has a great browsing library and  it would be simple to add a right click menu to interface with a proram like http://music.predixis.com/ which has an API waitng to be used?  As of right now I have to drag and drop songs between both programs which means I don't use it very often.  So far I see nothing in the documentation here that indicates this is possible

If not what is the reasoning behind it?
