Title: Automatic library update?
Post by: goatherder on July 10, 2005, 09:48:58 am
Is there a way for MC to pick up updates to the designated media library folders automatically? Or maybe even manually?

everyone keeps recommending King's plug-in but either it's lacking a feature or there's something I don't get: after trying it how I just can't find a way to import files that I put in new folders. In other words, if I tell the plug-in to look for new files in a particular folder it won't find the files I put in a sub-folder that didn't exist at the time I configured the plug-in. Not sure if I'm clear here...  :-\

So I have to use it as my main ripper / importer in order for it to work?

Me too. I have no idea how this plugin works. Anyone shed light on this? Thanks

if the plug-in can search newly created subfolders, then there's something I've not figured out yet.

Be sure to take a bath to check for any slow leaks.

It appears to work if you add files to a monitored folder, but if you add a folder full of files, which is usually how I add new music, it doesn't work. I think this is a much desired feature that is lacking in most players ( except WMP) and something that should be added to MC.
