Title: Files becoming randomly associated with a picture

I have a large, though unknown amount files that have become associated in their tags with a picture on my hard drive.  (as their album art)  Is there any way to find all these files so i can remove the link from their tags?  Or, would maybe deleting the file work??...or would that just be even messier?
