Title: Real video on Media Center
Post by: Ron2b4 on July 12, 2005, 09:10:18 am
The video on C-SPAN 's Web site defaults to playing on Real Jukebox on my system. How can i watch the same video on Media Center?

Proudly, I offer the least reliable info on this forum, but since Marko hasn't replied to this, I'm going to tell you everything I know about this, and a whole lot more.

I recommend you search Marko's posts for discussions of "Real Alternative".  This is the codec (I think) that will allow MC to play .ram files.   Once I had installed this I was able to stream web audio as .ram, although, interestingly, MC treats .ram files as video.  ram files might not be what you're trying to play, but there are other bitlets on the same site and you may find your acorn somewhere.

I can't remember where I went to find this, and that's why you'll have to search Marko's posts.

Thanks....

Your information's still better than mine.

Now, if you know someone you can tell me what the unplayable 32bps files are all about....?
