Title: Media Centre 10 Lockout

I was using MC10 yesterday and had a look at Jukebox 8. Whilst using that I got a C++ error. I restarted PC and tried MC and all was fine. Today with MC I am unable to use and got the following msg:"This version of Media Center must be activated by running it once with at least Power User Priveleges, after this activation MC can only be run with Guest priveleges. (Unactivated Component:C:\Program Files\J River\Media Center\RegControl.dll)" followed by an error msg:"Error, failed to initialize Registration control".
I am the Power User/Administrator account on my Win XP system. Can anyone help please. Geoff21.  :(

Uninstall one or the other of the two programs.  Reboot.  Reinstall the one you kept.

Thanks JimH.........will do.......trouble is I don't really want to have to re-config MC or lose playlists etc.etc.etc.  :-\

Hi JimH

Yay I'm SO SO pleased......when I went to uninstall Jukebox 8 it wasn't there to uninstall, so, I re-ran MC.exe and it is ALL back exactly the same as it was, ALL my playlists etc etc.
