Title: License Problem
Post by: davisford on July 21, 2005, 06:49:02 pm
Hi, I know this may have been answered before, but I am confused about the licensing.

I purchased MC10 back around April.  When MC11 Beta came out, I immediately purchased the upgrade, and I did provide a lot of testing and feedback on the beta version -- especially the UPnP server.

Now I bought a new computer, got it yesterday -- dual core AMD Athlon X2 running WinXP 64-bit.  I renewed my license with MC11 through the website, and downloaded the .mjr file.  I have 9 renewals left.

I downloaded the latest MC11 from the forum link, and tried to install the .mjr license file, and it told me I have to upgrade.

Do I have to pay for an upgrade twice?

Thanks,
Davis

Make sure you have the latest build of MC11.

Then have your licenses e-mailed to you from the Restore page.

Then use a restore.

The mjr files are Install Keys and should work, but they only work for 14 days.

Use IE to restore.

See this page for more info:

My problem -- searched gmail for purchase email, and followed restore link for MC10...went back and found email for MC11, problem solved.  Thx.
