Title: supressing import media files
Post by: Andy2605 on July 25, 2005, 11:30:46 am
Hi,

Im sure this is a simple thing that ive over looked but i cant find it.

How do i stop the import media files dialogue poping up when i 1st start mj8? Is there a way to get it to automatically connect to a music server?

Ive got all my music on a NAS drive and want to use mj8 on the workstations as just a player, leaving the mj on the server doing the serving and library functions.

Just import one small file into the local library. Then it will not bother you.

For example this: http://www.dan-dare.net/Dan%20TV/Dan%20Dare%20TV%20Theme.mp3, it is below 1 MB.   ;)

I don't recall anymore how MJ library client works. Media Center connects automatically to the last used server. Is it different in MJ?
