Title: iPod options gone...
Post by: pilotbum on July 25, 2005, 01:51:43 pm
When I first hooked up my iPod I was able to right click on it and there were options such as "rebuild iPod database" and "eject iPod". Now all those options are gone when I right click on it. Where did they go and can I eject the iPod through MC11 or must I use the windows device manager.

Also, the tags in teh iPod changed and all the info is now in the name catagory as opposed to each individual catagory like Artist, Genre, Etc. How did this happen and more importantly, how do I correct it? I also cannot see or edit my iPod playlists anymore.

I have used the iTunes to sync the pictures, but I don't use it for the music, could that have anything to do with the problem?

Regards,
McGregor

Yes.

Currently, MC is not recognizing your iPod as an iPod, but as a generic removable drive. Try running iPod updater on it and then see if things improve.

iPod updater? What's that? Haven't seen it in any of the options.

Thanks.
