I have just upgraded to MC 11.0.309. I am upgrading all my libraries from MC10 to MC11. I did a backup of each MC10 library. I plan to create new empty MC11 libraries, then import the MC10 backup into them.
If I create a new, empty, library in Library Manager MC crashes, then, when I restart it, I get a C++ runtime error. The only way to restore MC's functionality is to uninstall MC then install it again.
Is there any workaround (registry, init file, command line) to force MC11 into loading an existing library at startup?

That is a correct way to make new libraries. MC does not normally crash when making new libraries. Mine does not and it has never been reported AFAIK. Something must be broken somewhere. Try to uninstall MC11 and MC10 (if still installed) and reinstall MC11.

I just created a new library without any trouble...I used...
File > Library > Library Manager...
Press "add" button
named my new library in "Name"
Found an empty folder for the new library in "Location"
pressed "OK"
selected new library and pressed "Load"

I have uninstalled both MC10 and MC11, reinstalled MC11 and now I can create new libraries with no error.
