Title: mp3 Encoding on MC 10

Could we cut through the messages, and get a clear answer. I did a re-install of MC 10 on my new laptop, and now I can't get the MP3 VBR encoder installed. I get the error message from JRiver (same as everyone else has been writing), and going to LAME directly does not work either.

Should I re-install the software, although I do not know why that would work? I'm using IE, and have not had troubles with encoding before.

I tried to explain some MC10 encoder download problems in this thread:

You could try this:

- Make a library backup (one for each library if you have several)

- Reinstall MC 10 (ftp.jriver.com/pub/downloads/music/MediaCenter10.exe (http://ftp.jriver.com/pub/downloads/music/MediaCenter10.exe)).

- Download the LAME encoder zip package from here: LAME 3.93.1 (http://kotisivu.mtv3.fi/alexb/lame/lame-3.93.1.zip). Unzip and copy the lame.exe file to [MC program path]\Plugins folder before starting MC and trying the MP3 encoding options.

Thanks, it worked like a charm. A shame I had to go through all the trouble looking through Help, then the forum, then the registration, etc. But it did work.
