Title: DVD cover art
Post by: zxsix on August 10, 2005, 02:58:46 am
This question goes for either format:
A) purchased DVD movie on original disc.
B) ripped vts_01_1.vob file from that disc.

Is there a way to implement the "get from internet" functionality that retreives cover art for CD's to look for DVD's too?

If I download the dvd art manually, is there a specific way I can name it so that "quick find in cover art directory" will locate it?

I tried placing MovieTitle.jpg in the cover art folder.
I also tried placing a folder.jpg file in the folder where the .vob files are.
Neither of those work currently.

Any programmers interested in making a plugin similar to KingSparta's album cover art finder if no other option exists?

Never tested that but you may not be able to asign a image for the movie.

Currently I import the vts_01_1.vob file into MC.
Once it's in there I fill the movie title into the NAME field.
then go to amazon.com and search for the movie.  Right click>save as on the dvd art.  Save it to my cover art folder.
Then I right click it and choose IMAGE>ADD FROM FILE.
Manually browse to the cover art folder and choose the movietitle.jpg image.

That's a lot of work when I have Sparta's cover art finder and atagger plugins that do it automatically for CDs.

If there's not an easier way now, please consider for v12.
