Title: Can MC be set to import at startup?
Post by: mdshullaw on August 10, 2005, 10:30:09 am
It would seem to be a very logical option for MC to be able to auto-scan preselected folders for new media at startup, and import them into the library. Is this already possible? This would be very helpful for keeping the library updated without constant user interaction.

Check out King's plugin called Auto Import at http://www.spartasoft.com/
I don't think it can import at start up but you can set a time that it will scan your computer and import any new files

Thanks for the advice on the sparta plugin. It works fine. I set it to check every 10 seconds/ It does keep a running log of events, which could probably get pretty big since I have it set to import every ten seconds, but it has a button to clear it, so I should be able to keep it under control. Ideally, being able to set the plugin to only check once at MC startup would be perfect, but I don't see an option for that. I'm not complaining, because it beats having to remember to do it manually every time. Thanks again!
