Title: Bizzarre IPod Error Message
Post by: BackBeat on August 17, 2005, 11:43:45 pm
When I select my Ipod in the device list on both my homaeand notebook versions of MC 11, I get a strange error message and can get no further. This seemed to happen after my home PC requested a chkdsk on the device, which I bypassed. After viewing a previous forum issue, I ran a chkdsk on the device and even changed its drive letter, but I still get problem.

Funny that the same error occurs on my laptop as well, but I get the 'initializing....' screen come up first.

Any help would be most appreciated as I am forced to use Itunes atm  :o

Try browsing in Explorer to your iPod_Control\iTunes folder and then delete your iTunesDB file. After this, MC will not know what is on your iPod but you will be able to right click on your iPod in MC and either 'Rebuild database from iPod' or preferably, reinitialize your iPod.  Then you should be good to go.
