Title: how can I normalize mp3s

hello there....

i recently ripped the majority of my cds and are now in mp3 form on my hard drive

o bought a cd mp3 player that i connect to my boombox at wor..i love the fact that i can listen to a cd all day and not hear the same song twice....AWESOMe

but the only thing that bothers me is that the tracks are at different levels..so it means turning the volume up and down too much....how can i make all these tracks roughtly the same volume....i know ican normalize when ripping ,,but when i selected the feature when i burnt an mp3 cd...it did not seem to work

Replay Gain is the answer to making your files play at the same volume.  Read MJ's help for some more info.

You can either analyze the files in MJ so it can play them at the same volume (doesn't change the actual file) or else use a 3rd party tool "MP3 Gain" to permanently change the actual mp3 files to be the same volume.
