'Fats' Domino Missing in New Orleans

Domino, 76, lives with his wife Rosemary and daughter in a three story pink-roofed house in New Orleans’ 9th ward, which is now underwater. On Monday afternoon, Domino told his manager, Al Embry of Nashville, that he would “ride out the storm” at home. Embry is now frantic.

Fats Domino was rescued. :)

Quote
NASHVILLE -- Fats Domino has been rescued from his New Orleans home and is doing well, according to his longtime agent, Al Embry.

Domino's youngest son said his dad was taken by helicopter to a safe, undisclosed place along with his family, according to Embry.

Embry said he last spoke to the singer Sunday, when Domino told him he planned to ride out Hurricane Katrina at his house in a low-lying area of the city with his wife and daughter.

Embry said when he sees Domino he'll give him a hug, then a punch -- for not heeding his warning to leave town before the storm.

Domino, 77, is known for the songs "Blueberry Hill" and "Ain't That A Shame." He has rarely appeared in public in recent years.
