Title: DVD autoplay problems.
Post by: lalittle on September 07, 2005, 04:46:37 pm
When I insert a DVD, I get a popup that allows me to choose "Play DVD video using Media Center" as one of the options.  When I select this, MC11 opens and does nothing -- the DVD does not start.  When MC11 is already open when I insert the disc, nothing at all happens -- I don't even get the disc insert popup.

I checked the "Media Insert" options, and it's set to "Play."  I tried the other two options, however, and the behavior did not change -- I just can't get a DVD to automatically play when I insert it.  I can get it to play by manually playing it in MC11 -- it's just the "auto play" that is giving me problems.

Am I missing a setting somewhere, or is there a problem with MC11 and my drive?  I'm using a Pioneer DVR-107D, and if I select one of the other players when the auto-insert popup comes up (like windows media player) the other program will open and the disc will play.  It's only when I select MC that it doesn't work.

I also tried a couple different discs, and they all show the same behavior -- i.e. they'll play in MC, but they won't "auto play," and they WILL "auto play" with another player.  Note also that CDs will auto play in MC11 -- it's just DVDs that are giving me problems.

Thanks for any help with this,

Larry
