Title: Cover Art Not really inside??
Post by: NickM on September 07, 2005, 09:28:54 pm
Sorry - more on cover art!

I have ripped a CD on one PC and stored the cover art in the APE file.  The Tag Info window in MC shows Image File "Inside File".

On another PC I then import media and for the same APE file, there is no cover art and the Tag Info in MC shows a blank under Image File.

Any clues as to what is happening?

More serious than that.  Upon further investigation, OTHER tagging information is missing.  Some files are missing [Artist], whilst some others, [Date], [Genre] or [Album Artist].  And before someone asks, yes I DID click Update Tags from Library.

Ignore the Inside file, i think its a typo. If you see it it means no cover art is assocaited.

If you really want to store your cover art inside the file.

Options->Directories/Locations->Store cover art in file where possible checked

(going from memory about that option).

Tags wont be preserved in files unless the default is to store inside file. Check out the Options->Library and then browse to the tag to check this.

I have those options already checked.
It's almost as if the library became corrupted and then updated the tags in the files...
