Title: Renaming with playlist sequences
Post by: c1c9k72 on September 08, 2005, 04:13:00 pm
I've heard from a few people that you can rename files by their sequence in a given playlist, but I still haven't figured out what the variable is that is used in that process.  Does anyone know what the [?] variable is to do this ?

Thanks.

Are you trying to burn a CD?  If so, check the options in the Action Window when you burn.

No, I'm trying to transfer things to a handheld, but it's not technically a handheld question.  I'm figuring there has to be a variable, like [NAME] or [ARTIST] or [BPM], that can list it's position in the current playlist.

I'd like to do this, too.  Can it be done, and if so, how?

Can't the handheld understand m3u or playlist files ?

Sadly, no, which is why I want to rename with the sequence number.
