When I attempt to play an audio CD in MC11 (build 313) running as a normal (i.e not power or administrator) user in WinXP Professional SP2 one of the following happens:
1) A message dialog appears stating that MC11 is updating something then MC11 simply quits back to the desktop. No further error messages
2) A message dialog appears stating that MC11 encountered errors playing back the last few files, please check library
3) Absolutely nothing. That is I click play and MC11 changes the "play" button to the "pause" button as if it's playing back the file but nothing else happens (in fact the time elapsed stays at 0:00). If i click the "stop" button then the "pause" button switches back to the "play" button.
If I run as an administrator user then I am able to playback CDs.
Can someone shed light on what's going wrong here?
