Title: DVD playback help
Post by: rocker1 on October 02, 2002, 09:56:26 am
I have an ATI All-in-Wonder card w/ TV tuner, but due to some very complicated battles regarding the ATI software bundle and upgrading from Windows 2K to XP I have lost the ability to use their DVD playback functioning.  (A long messy story...)  Everything else works A-OK.  Since I'd like to be able to view DVDs on my computer I'm wondering if MJ might be the ticket, as it supports DVD playback.  However, there's something about Directshow involved here.

Is there an easy way to set up MJ to view DVDs?  Any advice is appreciated.

MJ needs a decoder for DVD just like any other video format.  You need a software DVD decoder.  Like one from Intervideo.
