Title: Can't install plug-ins
Post by: mannrt on October 01, 2005, 02:58:04 pm
Hi Folks,

I'm a newbie to MC. I've read the instructions on how to use the plug-in manager. I go to "Download Plug-ins". I download and install, but never see any of them in the plug-in manager, even after I go out and come back in to MC. I know it's probably something dumb, but can anyone help.

Thanks

Thanks for your reply. Yes, I've checked there as well... nothing.

Once you install it via the download on the website, should you see it in the Plug-in manager, or do you have to then add it by pressing "add plug-in"? Neither works for me.

Can't install plug-ins

What Plug-ins?

What Version Of MC?

What Version Of Plug-Ins?

Are You Sure Your Downloading The Correct Version Of Plug-In For The Version Of MC Your Using?

It does have a combo box on the plug-ins page to tell it what version of MC your using.

older plug-ins will not install on a newer version of mc.

Ok, I've tried to download "art and lyrics only". I press on "plug-ins" on the tree which takes me to the website. I press on "download", it takes me through the installation, it tells me "package was installed sucessfully".

I check the tree and the plug-in manager and it's not there. I have the latest version, version 11. I have windows XP. I've checked the combo box for windows XP and MC 11.

Where does it install to? Does it install it directly into MC 11?

"Art & lyrics only" is a Track Info template, if I'm not wrong. You have to go to Playing Now to see it.

Play a song, go to Playing Now if you're not there, Click on the horizontal bar -> Track Info -> (Chose the desired track info template from the list).

Hope it helps.
