Title: Please help on converting midi to MP3 or WAV

Can someone please help me on how to use Media Center to convert a midi file to MP3 or WAV or ogg ?

Can you play your MIDI files with MC? If yes then you should be able to record the soundcard output with MC's Sound Recorder in real time.

Select these Recorder options:
Recording Device: [the soundcard's device name]  and  Recording Source: Mixer (or similar)

Direct file conversions using audio encoders are not posssible because MIDI is not an audio format. MIDI contains only instructions for synthesizers.

Thanks Alex.

I was wondering why there was no specific instructions for this and was hoping that thee would be a quick way to convert a midi file.

I have been able to do it with Nero Media Player in the fashion that you described, but I would prefer to use Media Center.
