I purchased MediaCenter 10 a few months ago, and the following week or so, Media Center 11 came out. I was wondering why there is no upgrade from version to version free of charge ? Secondly. I had to reinstall Windows, so I reinstalled MC 10, with the .mjr file I received when I bought it. That did not work,
I get messages stating that there is a new version available, but is it free ?

All you need to do is restore your license. Details are here:
www.jrmediacenter.com/purchase.html
The upgrade information is also there.

Alas, I will also need the exact version 10 I downloaded and bought, for this restore thingy to work.... and that info is lost in the sause of my mind.

Any build of MC10 will work with your MC10 Registration Code.
You can find a link to the latest one in the FAQ on this board.

Jim,
I just tried to check how the upgrade information is presented on the main website, but I didn't find it. Is it hidden somewhere or has something happened to it?
DJ DD,
The upgrade information is available also in this forum thread: http://yabb.jriver.com/interact/index.php?topic=23311.0

also,
this page... http://www.jrmediacenter.com/buy_faq10.html
has a link at the very bottom that says "License FAQ's for Other Versions". It 404's, as does the self same link on the buy-faq11 page.
