Title: can't re-install MC

I am a registered user and mostly use MC in my carputer (a Boston Cab) (with G-Force viz no less!).  Anyway, on my home unit I tried the MC11.1 ALPHA, for some reason. This a.m. I was making library changes and I got an error msg that MC encounterd a problem and needs to shut down.  When I restarted the program, a box came up recommending that, among other things, I eliminate plug-ins from 3rd parties.  After some fiddling to no avail, I tried a uninstakll/reinstall.  The first re-install appeared successful but when I tried to call MC up it failed (An hourglass, then nothing).

Then I tried anther uninstall/reinstall.  This time, the install failed partway through the dialoge process.  Any Ideas?

Run task manager, ensure there is no "Media Center" process, then re-install.
If the re-install fails, or Media Center doesn't start, again ensure there is no current "Media Center" process. It should then start normally.
