Title: Article - Wired News: The Media Player of My Dreams
Post by: LonWar on October 18, 2005, 11:53:04 am
Hello All...

Here's an interesting article on Media Players.

Someone mentioned MC at the bottom of the article, and the author wrote back:

Thanks for the suggestion.

Media Center has a lot of good features. But I dropped it from the list of runners up because I was unimpressed with its iPod capabilities. First, when I connect it, Media Center doesn't populate track information into the Artist, Album, Track Number and other fields. This is a big drawback.

Second, Media Center doesn't provide a way to move songs from my iPod to my computer.

JRiver may or may not find this interesting.

I think they are aware, if you notice the work to date on 11.1 seems to be towards making iPod amongst other portables integration better. Whether it works or not is something iPodders will have to shout out.

Can't wait for them to start on the rest.
