Title: album/song info from ripped cd's
Post by: nunisimo on October 20, 2005, 07:31:22 pm
Dear MC:

I've had this issue in the past and don't believe it was ever fully resolved.  When I rip cd's using MC, I'm only able to get 1 out of every 7 cd's to accurately populate album info.  i just tried a rare african cd called captain yabba and it worked in itunes but not in MC.  Strangest things, itunes doesn't even have this album in their store so not sure what dabase they're looking up but it's still populating.  So my question is why does MC fail to recognize album/song data more frequently than itunes and windows player.

thanks.

MC Uses YADB to get track info, So if no other MC users has that cd, it won't be in there.

MC also uses the CDplayer ini. so if another player has CDDB then you can get it that way.

OK, got it.

Is there a way to rip with MC and then add the tags through another player?
