Title: Playing '.ts' files I get video bu t no audio
Post by: JasonJoel on October 22, 2005, 06:30:53 pm
I record HDTV streams from my cable box via firewire.

The resulting files are transport stream files (.ts).

I can play them just fine in Windows Media Player

When I try to play them in MC11 though I get video, but no audio. In fact the same exact thing happens in Zoom Player as well. So I'm not sure what is going on, or how I would go about fixing it.

Just weird that it works perfectly in WMP and in my video editing program VideoReDo, but not in MC11 or ZP...

Any suggestions?

I figured it out... Was my own fault.

The audio track on the TS file was AC3... I did not have AC3FILTER installed so it had no way to play the AC3 audio track.

Installed AC3FILTER 1.01rc5, now everything is working correctly.
