Title: how to handle ratings and multiple ipods

Scenario:
Husband has ipod and has rated all songs in MC database.
Wife is about to get an ipod.
I know MC can handle multiple ipods, but I'm confused about how ratings will be handled.

Say husband rates a song as a 4 and that's how it is in MC.
Say wife imports that same song into her MC database and rates it a 2.
Now, since the rating tag gets saved in the file tags, isn't she going to overwrite his rating of that song?

Yes. If you have different librarys, MC will handle the difference, but you are correct that if the tag info gets saved you will have your wife's ratings.  I don't know a great solution, but we will ponder this some more.
