Title: Can Pinnacle pctv remote work with mediacenter 10 ? please help

i am using pinnacle PCTV card , with ir remote connected to a serial port
but i get error report on win xp, i am using k like codec pack..

would my remote work with J. river media center...please help me ..
 please tell me how to configure the right plugins..

if not that remote , can a universal remote work ? with the same ir reciever conected on my serial port ?

You need to use a receiver that MC supports.  Check the remotes section of options to see the possibilities.

Once you have that, you can probably use any universal remote by training it.

Try searching here for names of the remotes to learn more.

i am using a ir reciever that i got from pinnacle it self ...where can i find such a reciever and what would be the cost in rupees...wont the pinnacle  reciever work ?
