Title: How can I erase some tags in JPGs?
Post by: Michel Lefebvre on October 28, 2005, 08:06:53 am
I have several custom tags that I created for my 8500 pictures that I catalogued in MC. All of these tags were written to the files themselves. I've decided to eliminate some of the tags as they contain information that is not relevant to someone to whom I would send copies of the pictures.

So I unclicked the "Write tag to file if possible" option for the tags I want to eliminate. That doesn't erase the tags in the JPGs.

I then deleted the tags completely and did a "Library overwrites tags". The old tags are still there.

Any way to deal with this?

Thanks.

Oh... I forgot to say that these custom tags are often written several times within the same file... That one has me stumped also.

Did you try: right-click > Library Tools > Remove Tags ?  It works for me.

Thanks. I never noticed that option.

That will work for sure... :)
