thanks for the link... i often feel like a moran with sparta plugins... just as i do now. i installed it to the directory in the setup. program files\mark farmer\move cover art to folder.
after running the install, i looked for an exe... there isnt one. so i ran the plugin manager inside MC11. i saw it installed under the interface listing. all it has is a start and stop button. in the help file it says there is a setup tab... i dont see that at all. i clicked the start button and it went grey in color... ran about 15 minutes and never seemed to do anything. i guess im confused on how to set up the plug in and what exactley its doing.
i have lots of album images under documents and settings\user\app data\jriver\cover art. from time to time the album art will show appropriately and others not. the image tool get cover art from internet dosent seem to work. i went in and manually pasted the images in one album at a time. im guessing thats how these got into that directory. i didnt originally have the button clicked to "store images in tags also". i went in and now was going to manually repaste all the images. this is when i came across your solution.
im realizing that i need to work on my main library images as well.... they get "lost" from time to time also. im hoping for some help to figure out your solution with the sparta plugin.

if you look in the tree to the left in MC you should see "Plugins" and all 3rd party plugins should be listed there.
the file is not a exe because it is a activex plug-in and activex has a extender of "ocx" and you should not need to go to the plug-ins manager or look for the "ocx" file
I don't see what is confusing, you put files in playing now and go to the plug-in in the plug-ins folder in MC and click on the plug-in you want to run.
i also have not used that plug-in for some time so don't know if it still works with any changes MC has went thru. but it did work for moving cover art and or folder.jpg
it has nothing to do with media centers thumb nails

I can't find this plug in anymore on KingSparta's site. Does it still work for v11.1 builds? If so, does anyone have a link to it?
Thanks...Brian
-
what are you looking for?
-
The plug-in to move my cover art from the default cover art folder to folder.jpg files within my music folders.
-
Oh
well there has been some changes in mc 11 thats why i removed it.
-
Do you plan on making a new one? I've got 839 albums and would rather have the cover art in the album folders. Or is there another way to do this? It took me a long time to get the cover art for all those albums.
Thanks...Brian

Or is there another way to do this?
Well Yes, Download My Cover Art Finder 3.0.18
And Click On The Options To Get From Local Art, It Should Use Your MC settings And When It Export Art From In The File Or From The Cover Art Folder It May Relocate The Art To Where You Want It.
It Will Of Course It Depends If It Can Find Your Art
I think It Will Work, Test It Manual With A Few Files.
It Is Still Beta But It Should Work Ok (I think)
-
Manual mode does work. It moves the cover art to the album folder as a folder.jpg file, but I can't get Auto Batch to work. I have the same settings selected (check local drive first), but it never copies the cover art to the album folder. Is this a bug? Running build 19.
-
what is the orginal location of the art?
And the desired location?
Give Me Full Paths, if not inside file
i really did not intend for this to work, but maybe i can get it working sounds like a good idea, maybe i can get it to work for you.

I see
I Just Uploaded 3.0.20
Make Sure If You Have Downloaded It Before You Read This You Uninstall And Download 3.0.20 Again And Then Install.
I Made A Small Change To The LocalArt Sub
See If That Helps

Still isn't working... Don't give up though!
-
Well I found the problem with that error
All it was was one of the browser controls was pointing to a drive location (don't ask me why i have no idea).
if it does not connect to the server now i have no idea.
Here Is A Good Connect With 3.0.21
5:26:37 PM - xx.xxx.xxx.xx - Cover Art Finder 3021 > finished uploading 'ConnectTest.txt' in 'D:\FTP\Cover Art 2\' - (00:00:01 - 0.009 KB - 0.009 KBytes/s).
5:26:37 PM - xx.xxx.xxx.xx - Cover Art Finder 3021 > finished downloading 'D:\FTP\Cover Art 2\ConnectTest.txt' - (00:00:01 - 0.009 KB - 0.009 KBytes/s)
All Files Have Been Copied To The New Format On The FTP Server.
Older Versions Will Stop Working.

Still isn't working... Don't give up though!
I Will Look At That Tomorrow (If Not Later)
Not That That Is A Problem, The Plug-In Was Not Intended To Move Cover Art From One Location To The Other.

If You Have 3.0.21 Installed
Uninstall It
Download The New 3.0.21 (I Recompiled It With The Same Version #, Thats Why You Need To Uninstall)
Make Sure It Downloads And Does Not Download In 1 Second (If It Does It Is Comming From MS Internet Explorer Temp Folder)
And Then Reinstall It
I think this is the desired effect.

Thank you! Works great!
